Designer & Owner
With a genuine love for paper goods and weddings, Alaina started Grace & Ivy Designs in 2018. Each custom design is created with intention and care to be treasured as a memento of your special day.
Alaina has a bachelor's degree in graphic design and works as a brand and event designer by day. She loves to read historical fiction, drink craft beer, and run along the lakefront when she's not designing.
The very first wedding Alaina worked on was for a college friend’s mom and her wife in 2014.
Alaina has traveled to 12 countries and 32 states.
Baseball is Alaina’s favorite sport and is a huge Chicago Cubs fan!
Alaina was an absolute highlight of wedding planning! We kicked off the process with a zoom call and afterwards my now husband said, "This is my favorite part of wedding planning!" She made everything design related so personal. She listened intently and really made each vision we had come to life. Alaina helped us design an entire invitation suite, wedding favors, menus, thank you cards, signs – and now I don't think I would do anything paper related without her! We love working with her on Holiday Cards and stationery! In addition to her incredible design eye; her penmanship is incredible and has saved my hand many times. One of my favorite services is her calligraphy work! Almost all my guests commented on how beautiful her work is!
Our wedding planner put it best; the save the date/invitation is the first piece of the wedding your guests will receive and the thank you is the last - this is the place to make a good impression! I promise you, Grace & Ivy Designs will make that impression!
